Ofsted e-safety training requirements put more pressure on overstretched school budgets

fsted state that staff training is consistently the weakest area

of a schools online safety provision, recommending that all staff should receive up-to-date training to refl ect current research and advances in technology. But training all staff is no

small task, so the obvious answer is online training. But with individual training courses costing upwards of £15 per teacher, the investment could easily take over a schools budget. For the average secondary school, online e-safety training for all staff would cost in the region of £1,100.

throughout the campus and buildings – some dating back over 470 years. “The big revolution in

education is mobile,” said Mark Steed, principal at Berkhamsted School. “Mobile devices are

transforming the way we learn and the way we teach. That functionality and portability between school and home is a true enabler today. We used to collaborate by talking on the train or bus home, now we collaborate all the time using mobile devices.”

Ofsted requirements faster and easier has been launched by education software specialists Mesma. The new improvement planning Mesma software ensures schools are properly prepared and inspection-ready for Ofsted inspections, which often take place at short notice. Mesma is an adaptable,

new online approach to assist primary school head teachers’ meet

A key feature of the software

is its intuitive properties: head teachers can incorporate their guidance notes to allow other members of staff to add and store their own information to ensure all relevant documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible during inspection. The system allows the user to devolve responsibility for self-assessment contributions, saving time while enabling them to retain overall control of the process and view information, which can be accessed at the touch of a but on. The software is available through an annual subscription and is tailored to meet specifi c requirements and individual needs.
