T


his year marks the 10th anniversary of the British Universities Film & Video Council (BUFVC) Learning on Screen Awards, which will be held at


the BFI Southbank, London on Thursday 24 April 2014. As the only UK awards celebrating moving image and


related media production in learning, teaching and research, the event gives wider recognition to student fi lmmakers and producers of educational material and encourages both the evaluation and improvement of standards in educational media production. All nominated entries will be showcased and the


winners announced at the awards evening, which will also include a guest speech by Lucy Worsley, chief curator at Historic Royal Palaces and presenter of BBC Four’s A Very British Murder. The awards are organised by the BUFVC, a charity


that delivers unique services and advice to support education by promoting the production, study and use of moving image, sound and related media across all subject areas within post-compulsory education and research.
