Motocaddy powers ahead with new innovations

Motocaddy, the market-leading electric trolley brand, saw sales grow again last year and now it is set to offer even more impressive features for powered and push trolleys in 2014.

“Over the past 12 months, we’ve conducted our

most extensive consumer research, which has helped identify trolley features and technologies that golfers aspire to have,” said Sales Director Neil Parker. “One of the most significant findings showed golfers wanted a quicker way of getting their trolley onto the course.” In response, Motocaddy has developed a new, simple QUIKFOLDTMmechanism, allowing

golfers to fold or unfold the trolley in just five seconds. The mechanism has been applied to both the S1 PRO and S3 PRO trolleys.

need for a lower bag strap, the simple system incorporates two holes on the trolley’s bag support that align with two locking pins on the base of the cart bag. These two pins are removable, so golfers have the option of taking them off to fit an older Motocaddy trolley or other branded models.

“Customers are now getting extra value for

money with these models, because in addition to the existing features they can now also take advantage of a super-fast folding design for the same price,” added Parker.

Industry-first With convenience and functionality in mind,

Motocaddy has also introduced the industry-first EASILOCKTM technology across all trolleys and bags. Designed to

exceeded its sales forecast by around 30% and on the back of this success, Motocaddy is set to launch the M3 PRO with the same compact- folding design, but with added features such as full-colour screen, distance measurement, ‘round’ timer and ‘lost ball’ timer. “The M3 PRO will be our most advanced trolley to date and will give golfers a feature-packed, compact option on top of our M1 PRO, which continues in 2014,” said Parker. The concept of a trolley folding snugly into the

boot of a car was also a key consideration in Motocaddy’s most advanced push trolley to-date, the super- compact M1 Lite – the result of 18 months of R&D.

Going Lithium Nearly a third of Motocaddy trolley sales

are powered by Lithium batteries. Here are some significant advantages Lithium has over Lead-acid batteries:

• Lithium batteries provide a cheaper long-term option – helped by a five-times longer lifespan and a five-year warranty

• Motocaddy’s 18-hole Lithium battery weighs just 2.5kg – a third of the Lead- acid equivalent – while at 3.2kg, the 36- hole Lithium option weighs less than a quarter of the lead version

• The 18-hole Lithium re-charges in less than 4.5 hours and the 36-hole version less than 5 hours;

• An integrated Battery Management System provides unrivalled reliability
