HOW HAS BUSINESS BEEN IN 2013? Year to date numbers are up 35% on 2012, with the fastest growing source region being Latin America, up 55% and the fastest growing destination region is Asia at 60%, followed by Europe/Middle East at 55%. We are seeing a trend in increasing average daily rates and decreasing cancellation and our lead time is increasing to every region worldwide.
WHAT’S YOUR STRATEGY FOR NEXT YEAR? Tourico Holidays will continue to implement more partner-first improvements that are part of our expansion plans. Although we have a worldwide reach, we know it’s the local touch that makes the difference, so we have hired a number of talented, respected individuals to
expand our regional networks. Clients will see more hotels, vacation homes, attractions and car product lines in more destinations with better rates and availability than ever before.
WHO DO YOU HOPE TO MEET AT WTM? Our existing client and supplier partners have led to that 35% growth this year so they are our first priority, but we also want to meet potential new partners.

WHICH DESTINATIONS ARE PERFORMING BEST FOR YOU? In India, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore continue to perform well. Goa and Rajasthan are doing well for leisure travel. Upcoming destinations for business are Gurgaon, the industrial and financial centre of the Haryana state, 18 miles south of New Delhi, and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Internationally, the US is
performing well for us, with New York, where we have The Pierre, leading the way.
WHAT NEWS WILL YOU HIGHLIGHT AT WTM? The recent expansion of our Vivanta by Taj and Gateway brands: we have refurbished our Vivanta by Taj property in Bentota, Sri Lanka, and reopened our luxury hotel Taj Samudra in Colombo after renovation. It will play host to CHOGM later in November. For the Gateway brand, we recently launched The Gateway Hotel IT Expressway Chennai and The Gateway Lakeside Hubli. For 2014 we have exciting plans for our London property 51 Buckingham Gate Taj Suites and Residences, which will be undergoing significant changes.
