Do Have Your PCMA All Access Pass?

Relive the PCMA 2013 Education Confer- ence in Denver with PCMA’s All Access Pass. The pass gives you access to more than 15 sessions, including Jason Jen- nings’s exceptional keynote, which explored why it’s necessary for organiza- tions to adopt radical and continuous change to remain relevant. Members can get their pass for only $99.95; for non- members, the cost is $149.95. There’s also an option to upgrade your

package to include Convening Leaders 2013 content as well. This offer includes access to more than 50 sessions between both conferences for only $149.95 (mem- bers) or $249.95 (non-members). To learn more, visit pcma.org/attend-learn and select “OnDemand Learning,” or contact PCMA’s member services team at membership@pcma.org.

Creating Chapter Connexity

When Francis Ford Coppola was filming “The Godfather,” he used the word “succession” to embody everything that the film was about. On set, cast and crew ensured that every costume, prop, and character was in line with the idea of “succession.” Sarah Michel, vice president of professional connexity at Velvet Chainsaw Consulting, discussed a similar concept with PCMA chapter members at a PCMA Chapter Lead- ership Session, Creating Chapter Connexity, on June 24 at the Education Conference in Denver. Michel asked members to come up with a word that defined their chapter, and she found no two words were alike.

“Chapters really are the gathering place for PCMA members to connect face-to-face,” Michel said. “I spent a lot of time talking to them about creating opportunities for tacit knowledge sharing that’s not usually trans- lated well in writing.” For more details, visit pcma.org/connect-and-grow/chapters.
