Volunteers jobs range from driving the minibus to and from the beach, to controlling the landing area, liaising with the aircraft, or being on safety boat duty. For each days operation, a great deal of organisation is required from checking the tide times, to filing individual flight plans and adhering to strict aircraft and equipment maintenance schedules.


Among the many achievements this year, was the biggest skydiving charity event that the Island has ever hosted over a week in August. A larger and faster aeroplane was required to complete 130 charity skydives in aid of the ‘Hope For John’ charity, involved in supporting research into Lafora, a rare brain disease. This generated an estimated £30,000 in one week for the charity.

In 2013 we will be celebrating our tenth anniversary and will be inviting any previous members of Jersey’s parachuting history to get involved in an anniversary event.
