A

s the plane touched down in Dubai International Airport, as seasoned visitors to the Middle East, we were already anticipating the

delights which were about to come our way as we made our way to the Ritz-Carlton Dubai. After a 30 minute taxi ride through the bustling commerce we have grown to expect from this busy metropolis, we arrived at this highly acclaimed intimate oasis, just steps away from the gleaming white sands of the Arabian Gulf. Of course, the name Ritz-Carlton evokes images of absolute luxury, but as we entered the elaborately furnished lobby, we knew our stay would be as fabulous as expected. As we were booked into a suite, we were

instantly met by the delightful concierge, who showed us directly to Te Lobby Lounge.

Once we had settled, it was hard to believe that the tranquil atmosphere we were experiencing was so close to the lively city.
