Travel Experienced spa professionals offer a menu
of over 40 innovative face and body treatments including Hammam scrub, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and ladies majlis across 10 specialised rooms. Feeling like a child in a sweet shop, I eventually
chose the full body massage which was heavenly to say the least. Using some of the finest oils, my masseur took the most careful of approaches in making me really feel relaxed – my only quibble was that I didn’t book a longer treatment.
After my partner returned from an enjoyable
afternoon on the golf course, of which he had only the highest praise for, we took a plunge in the delightfully tranquil swimming pool, before returning to the room to prepare for the evening meal. With a list of 11 eateries within the complex, the host of varying cuisines, from Eastern and Western cuisine left us spoilt for choice, but we eventually opted for dinner overlooking the unbelievable on site shooting range, famed for hosting some of the Olympic competitors from the sport as they practised their aim across the desert. Tis unique setting was complimented
with succulent Western-style flame grilled steaks under the desert moonlight. After finishing our meal, we wandered under
the pristine night sky before heading back to the room for a sumptuous night’s sleep, feeling totally relaxed. As we left what was a truly luscious holiday retreat, we were informed that refurbishments will take place on the hotel to improve its already fabulous standards. In keeping with their ongoing desire to ensure that the 128-acre award-winning resort remains a leading 5 star property in the region, plans have been finalised for an additional extension of both the accommodation offering and leisure facilities,
with work finishing late September 2012. Once the revamp is complete, the deluxe 5-star
beach hotel will feature four pools and pool areas and three of the twelve restaurants will have been refurbished. Te hotel will also have two new villas, with one and two bedroom suites that are perfect for both couples and friends. Te hotel offers spacious low-rise suites and junior suites with private balconies or terraces overlooking lush gardens, waterfalls and streams. Te hotel also offers complimentary shuttles to and from Dubai’s many tourist attractions and shopping centres for when lying around on a sun lounger just becomes too much like hard work!
Te newly refurbished Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa opens fully on the 30 September 2012. For more information or to book a reservation, visit
