MOAA Supports the

Legislation: MOAA’s government relations team staunchly has urged that Guard and Reserve pay and benefits keep pace with their expanded operational role. MOAA won inclusion of Title 32 Guard service for new Post-9/11 GI Bill eligibility and is pushing to count all qualifying active duty service performed year-over- year for early Guard/Reserve retirement purposes.

Health care: MOAA fought successfully for TRICARE coverage for gray-area reserve retirees. MOAA spon- sors insurance supplements under its MEDIPLUS® program, which works with the TRICARE Retired Re- serve (TRR) program. MOAA is pressing to expand Space-Available travel benefits for gray-area reservists and surviving military spouses.

Family support: MOAA offers family-specific publica- tions like Focus on You: A Career Handbook for Military Spouses and Family Matters: A Personal Inventory for Peace of Mind. Visit www.moaa.org/infoexchange or call MOAA’s Member Service Center at (800) 234- MOAA (6622) for copies. MOAA’s legislative team has pushed hard and won additional funding for family- support programs and inclusion of families in Yellow Ribbon reintegration initiatives.
