The Altogether Olympics
It’s been a busy month for international dressage rider Anna Ross Davies and her team at Altogether Equestrian. To celebrate their first year’s anniversary at Cholderton Equestrian Centre, the team decided to organise their own charity sports day known as ‘The Altogether Olympics’ in aid of ‘The Horse Boy Foundation’, which helps autistic children find communication through horses.
Over 200 people attended
including international dressage and event riders who turned their skill and competitive edge to a number of new challenges including Rok welly wanging, the Dodson & Horrell sack race, the Jacksons Hurdles and the Kieffer saddle dead lift followed up by a bucking bronco competition on a rodeo bull and after games barbeque. Rupert Isaacson, from The Horse Boy charity flew in from Texas and demonstrated the Horse Boy ‘back riding’ method using Anna’s dressage horses and
a Teddy bear instead of a child. It was a fabulous day with all the proceeds going to the charity.
‘We like to do one big charity event a year and are making plans for next year’s already!’ said Anna.
