Carrera bursts into 2012 with a new range of Go! sets, licences and performance enhancements to its popular Carrera RC line. This year Carrera has gone to the


movies to produce three new sets. Comic Super heroes are the theme for 2012 with two new Spiderman sets: Amazing Spider-Man and Manhattan Madness. The latter features 3.5 metres of track and includes twin loops for extra action. The Avengers movie is brought to life in 1:43 scale slot racing.

The set is based on the famous Marvel characters and includes a 3.6 figure of eight and a crossroad section for complete white-knuckle racing. For F1 fans comes a range of new sets

Roleplay is high on Haba’s agenda this year and visitors to Toy Fair can view a range of new products designed to stimulate young imaginations and provide motivating learning experiences.

Ingo is launching a new wave of products in 2012 after establishing itself in the UK market. The firm believes it has a product range and new licences that cement its position within youth electronics. Last year saw the launch of Ingo’s first


range of electronic products aimed at the pre-school sector under the Peppa Pig licence. Sales exceeded expectations and the range will be expanded as a result. Ingo is also adding to its SpongeBob line with a new gaming console and for girls there is a new range of Monster High

products which includes a Monster High portable DVD player.


The company is working with Disney to


develop new products and in conjunction with the widely anticipated Spider-Man movie in 2012, Ingo will be launching a range of electronic products which will include an electronic Yo-Yo and a fun Spider-Man Digital Shooter. As a relatively young company, Ingo wants to bring new product developments using up-to-date technology that appeal to boys, girls and younger children.


Biofino ranges of play food and accessories includes a salad bowl complete with lettuce, tomato slices, mushrooms, a sack of potatoes, plus a salami sausage and slices. To enhance the play experience further there is a new cooking pot, oven gloves and apron and also a melamine tea set for serving. Haba’s award-winning Habaland combines building blocks with roleplay. It welcomes new characters such as horses, cows and frogs and is a complement to the latest toyset on the land. This is a farmyard play set and comes in its own carry case which


converts to a barn and includes tractors, farmyard scenery and traditional farm yard animals. There are also numerous accessory sets so children can develop their collection. Yui – a Japanese doll with kimono and fan – is the latest addition to Haba’s doll collection, along with an assortment of new dressing up outfits for all occasions. Also, introducing babies to dolls are two new cute characters, Luis and Luisa – blue and pink cuddly dolls suitable from birth. For younger children, the Little Miss Fidget hand puppet was a great success in 2011, winning several awards and building on this play pattern.
