Lincat adds stylish, compact wall mounted boiler to FilterFlow range

Lincat, the UK’s leading manufacturer of commercial catering equipment, has added a stylish, compact wall mounted water boiler to its award winning FilterFlow range. Equipped with Lincat’s unique, built- in FilterFlow water filtration system, the WMB3F delivers up to 31 litres of high quality, filtered, piping hot water per hour. The new boiler’s slim design enables it to be installed over a sink, which is ideal when space is limited. At the same time, its sleek white or black glass finish makes it an excellent choice for front of house use. A drip tray is available as an optional extra.

“By introducing a wall mounted model, we’re aiming to widen the appeal yet

further of our best selling FilterFlow range”, said Nick McDonald, Marketing Director of Lincat Ltd. “Able to produce a continuous supply of hot, filtered water, this new model is perfect for busy catering establishments, office kitchens or staff rooms.”

As well as producing premium water quality, Lincat’s unique filter cartridges reduce the damaging build-up of limescale, which can seriously damage performance over time. The high capacity cartridges have a lifespan of 4000 litres or 6 months, and are low cost and easy to replace. The FilterFlow range also includes four catering boilers with tap dispense, and a push button model which is ideally suited to self

service operations.

All FilterFlow water boilers, including the new wall mounted models, feature precise electronic temperature control, together with comprehensive onboard diagnostics and an easy to read LCD panel. This shows the operational status of the boiler and reminds users when to order a new filter and when exactly to change it. Lincat Ltd manufactures one of the world’s most comprehensive ranges of catering equipment. Products are sold both here in the UK and in over 50 countries overseas, through an international network of distributors. Lincat Ltd is a member company of the Middleby Corporation.

Top marks for school kitchen upgrades

When Cambridgeshire County Council upgraded kitchen ventilation systems at six schools, Weatherite Building Services (WBS) provided the ideal solution. The work at the six primary schools in Wisbech, St. Neots and Swavesey is part of the first two phases of a five-year programme of kitchen safety improvements for the council’s School Meals service. The aim of the programme is to bring all the county’s schools up to current standards relating to commercial

kitchen ventilation, gas safety and kitchen hygiene.

As part of this major improvement programme, WBS supplied and installed all the kitchen ventilation canopies, dishwasher canopies, fans, air handling units, gas interlink systems and ductwork, as well as carrying out the associated mechanical works.

Working closely with the Main Project Contractor, Andy Knott Construction Ltd, the Architect, David Turnock Architects

and the M&E Consultant, Cunnington Clark, ensured that the mechanical installation met with the Council’s requirements to the letter. WBS sister company Weatherite Shopfronts & Shutters also supplied and installed shutters to the serveries at several of the schools.

Martin Thomas, Sales Director of WBS, commented: “Weatherite has a proven track record of meeting the strict budgets, safety requirements and tight deadlines associated with school projects. Our experience and expertise enabled us to tender competitively against very stiff competition, whilst maintaining quality and meeting the specification.”

WBS has over 39 years experience in all aspects of building service including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, commercial kitchen ventilation/extraction, data centre/IT cooling, boiler house refurbishment/replacement and all aspects of M & E services. WBS offers its customers a complete building services solution-from one single source including total project management and full design, installation and commissioning activities. WBS is part of the £40m Weatherite Group, one of the UK’s leading HVAC and Building Services organisations. Email:
