CONSTRUCTION FIXINGS DrylinePro shows its strength

DrylinePro, manufactured by Holdfast Fixings Ltd and distributed by ForgeFix Ltd, is a heavy duty fixing which has been specifically developed for dry lined (dot and dab) walls.

T T

he DrylinePro works by utilising the strengths of both the plasterboard and the underlying substrate. It will hold a load of around 100kg per fixing while also protecting the plasterboard from crushing. “The DrylinePro is perfect for fixing radiators, banister rails, shelves,

kitchen units and even your new plasma telly to that wretched dot and dab wall.” The DrylinePro is available in three packs: an eight fixing kit for the DIY user,

a 50 fixing kit for the smaller trade user and a bulk pack of 100 fixings which comes without the drills and screws which are in the kits.

The one piece Universal Decking Hanger

The Universal Decking Hanger (UDH) from ERICO has been designed to help improve the process of suspending loads by threaded rod from composite floor decking with re-entrant channels.

T

he UDH installs and adjusts within all re-entrant channels ranging from 34mm - 60mm wide. It also compensates for minor post-install variances of and between re-entrant channels. ERICO underlines that installation is easy, even when wearing gloves. The user simply clicks

the UDH into the channel by hand and tightens to secure the setscrew. It can then be quickly and easily adjusted for final positioning,

making it ideal for hanging pipework, ventilation, cable tray, trunking, channel section and trapeze brackets. The hanger is manufactured from high-grade spring steel and is coated with CADDY® ARMOUR, a corrosion protection system. The robust design can carry

working loads up to 1.5kN and offers a safety factor of 3:1. ERICO points out that the UDH fits a variety of decking sizes, meaning fewer decking fasteners are needed in inventory. A one-piece design allows simple snap-in installation and it can also be pre-mounted for added convenience. The UDH is pre-assembled and ready to install. It accommodates M6, M8 or M10 threaded rods, studs or screws.
