LADDER EXCHANGE TELLS US MORE ABOUT ITS AIM TO REMOVE
‘DODGY’ LADDERS FROM THE WORKPLACE
THE HSE’s 2009 Ladder Exchange is in full
swing. The campaign centres around a ‘ladder
exchange’ which gives everyone the
opportunity to get rid of old, damaged and
broken ladders and trade them in for new
ones. Over 5,000 ladders have been
exchanged under the scheme since it first
launched in 2007.
Until 31st December 2009, businesses have
the opportunity to get their ladders checked
and, where necessary, trade them in for new
ones at a heavily discounted price – in some
cases up to 50%.
Supported by the Ladder Association, the
exchange is part of the HSE’s ongoing
