“U
rban Landscapes of Broward County” is a photographic
essay celebrating the exploration, development and
growth of Broward County. Large format photographs, with
accompanied text and video, will feature historic landmarks,
cultural and architectural places of interest, and samplings of
our diverse skylines. Displayed in the historic 1905 New River
Inn at the Fort Lauderdale History Center, the project is a result
of an Individual Artist Grant awarded by the Broward County
Cultural Division to local artist Susan Buzzi. An educational
component is a children’s workshop which will take place in
the 1899 Replica Schoolhouse in the History Center on Sep-
tember 19th, 2009 beginning at 11am. “I am most grateful for
the Cultural Division’s consideration and to The Fort Lauderdale
Historical Society for their support and willingness to collabo-
rate on “urban landscapes”. I am truly honored to bring some

opened to assist people through their personal journeys by
nourishing their bodies and souls.
Om’echaye offers a positive environment surrounded by
healing arts and practices such as yoga, pilates, dance, kids
programs, vibrational healing, Chinese medicine, and even a
healthy food bar.
Through Iyengar Yoga, the body is aligned and the mind
settled. Pilates allows the core of the body to be sturdy while
other muscles are built. The different dance classes guide the
body to free itself through a highly aerobic workout. Drop

experience.
