A network appliance for scaled-up connectivity and high-density networking, benefits substantially from the native support of DDR4 memory that allows a maximum of 64 GB of ECC memory to be used. The device is designed to support up to 38 Ethernet ports from the device itself as well as four swappable Network Interface Modules (NIM), which include, among others from AAEON’s NIM selection: an eight-port module with 1 GbE per port, a four-port module with 10 GbE, and a two-port module with 40 GbE.

UP, the credit card computer board for makers, is powered by the Quad-Core Intel®


Atom™ processor x5-8350 1.92 GHz. The CPU is


rated at only 2W SDP. The UP board has 40-pin GP-bus with the same connector and pin definition of Raspberry Pi2 leaving the freedom to the makers to build up their shield.


In terms of operating system, the UP board can run in cross platform such as Windows 8.1, Windows 10 IoT Core Professional, Windows 10 Professional, Android, and Linux. ubilinux, based on Debian 8, will be the first Linux distribution to be available for UP. It will be followed by Ubuntu and Snappy.


All the components are selected according to the industrial stan- dard, and it means that we provide 3 years product longevity and 0-60 °C operation temperature on the UP board. This makes the UP board perfect for industrial embedded applications.
