LIR makes a full range of thermal imag- ing and night vision products for every kind of patrol or tactical operation. Ther- mal cameras detect heat, which means they do not need visible light to see. T e big news about the LS-series is the high-resolution color display with en- hanced digital zoom and InstAlert. T e LS-X and LS-XR now have extended ranges and video output for recording and exter- nal displays. Both the LS-X and LS-XR are designed for simple, single-hand use and use under rugged patrol scenarios. FLIR has also lowered the price on their LS-series thermal cameras. At under $6,000, they are $500 less expensive than
