THREAT4

www.threat4.com T reat4™ two-way radio headsets are made in many versions includ- ing over-the-head, lightweight, single-muff earpiece, temple trans- ducer headsets, behind-the-head double muff , and wireless PTT. Model 55000 is a heavy-duty, single-speaker, behind-the-head

headset with a noise-cancelling boom microphone, and is compatible with protective armor and most ballistic helmets. A single speaker outside the ear provides clear audio without in-ear contact. Model 59000 is a dual acoustic tube, heavy-duty, behind-the-head headset that provides the ability to have hearing protection (or not) within a lightweight headset. Audio is delivered into both ears to allow hearing protection, or open ear inserts can be used to have no hearing protection, but still retain radio audio. It is compatible with most helmets. T e Sniper model is a tactical bone-conduction (temple trans- ducer) headset that receives radio audio through temple bone tissue, which keeps the ears open. T ere is a noise-cancelling boom micro- phone for transmission. Receiving radio audio through the user’s bones in front of the ears leaves both ears open for audio situational awareness. Users may add hearing protection, and then engage or disengage it, at will, depending upon the operational circumstances. T e unit is compatible with earplugs or earmuff hearing protection. T e TALON is an in-ear tactical headset with boom microphone, hear- ing protection and talk-through, particularly designed for SWAT applica- tions. Multiple ear tip options are available and it is compatible with ballistic helmets, ballistic necks, and balaclavas.
