T e Coyotes CC hosted 19 members from the Denver CC for the inaugural President’s Cup. While there was curling and good times, the real purpose of the event was to recognize the volunteers in these clubs. Many people know that their own club wouldn’t be what it is today with-

out the eff ort of the members who go above and beyond. T is event was a great way to give back to some of those volunteers who make contributions that make good clubs great. games and random teams. Each draw had one feature game. Draw one was seniors; draw two was 5 & Under; draw three was women’s; and draw four was men’s. tioned to a dedicated facility in 2014, matched up well with Denver, which re-established in 2007 and also transitioned to a dedicated facility in 2014. on-the-road shenanigans between the clubs in 2015, the Coyotes Curling Club and Denver Curling Club Presidents Cup came to fruition in 2016. Aſt er four draws and 12 games, the Coyotes walked away with the Cup, but all 38 participants walked away with new friends and memories of an event they won’t soon forget. And, in case you are wondering, yes the date has already been set for 2017 with the Denver Curling Club playing host to the “Desert Dogs.” ■
