Amada America is showcasing three machines at FABTECH Canada (March 22–24, Toronto Congress Centre). The LCG AJ is a true flying optic laser system—the material remains stationary as the cutting head moves on all three axes (X, Y and Z) during processing. The cutting head is propelled by a helical rack-and-pinion drive system that achieves the ac- celeration and rapid traverse speeds of more expensive linear drive motion systems. Combining an innovative drive system with fiber laser technology results in high-quality parts arrived at with fast cutting speeds. The LCG AJ can be fully auto- mated with a variety of material handling options engineered and manufactured by Amada.
ing can also be installed in reverse orientation. An AMNC 3i touchscreen control, an integrated bend sensor that guaran- tees consistent bend angle accuracy, and a servohydraulic drive system that consumes less energy than a conventional press brake are all standard.
The HG Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) can load the most complex tool layout within three minutes and allows opera- tors of varied experience levels to efficiently use this bending system. Quick tool setups achieved by the ATC gives users the ability to introduce rush jobs seamlessly and triple or quadruple the amount of setups performed each day (based on eight setups per day). The ATC is capable of storing more than 26.4 m of patented, high-precision tooling and is equipped with four tool manipulators that place punches and dies along the length of the press brake. Additionally, tool-
The EG 6013 Bending System is a servoelectric press brake designed for the production of small sheetmetal components that demand a high degree of precision. With a maximum press beam length of 1300 mm and seven con- trolled axes, the EG 6013 offers a precise, energy-efficient bending solution in an extremely small footprint. The system’s DSP drive features a separate dual-motor drive unit mounted on either side of the press beam. Two 3-kW units serve ex- clusively to apply the force required for the bending process while two 1.5-kW motors ensure extremely fast approach and return speeds. Features include an AMNC 3i touch- screen control, a multiaxis backgage with L-Shift functional- ity, and an integrated bend sensor (Bi-S) that ensures bend accuracy while reducing or eliminating trial bends.
