Cohen weds on Cape Cod Sasha Cohen, the 2006 Olympic silver medalist, said, “I do” to
Tom May on Cape Cod, in Massachusetts, on Aug. 20. The couple, engaged since July 2015, exchanged vows in an intimate sunset ceremony overlooking the ocean at the Wianno Club. The new- lyweds met at a Harvard Business School party in 2014. May is a hedge fund manager. The nuptials mark another milestone in what has already been
an exciting year for Cohen. She was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame at the 2016 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships in January, and she earned a degree in political science from Columbia University in May.
Yamaguchi releases third children’s book New York Times bestsell-
ing author and 1992 Olympic champion Kristi Yamaguchi released her third children’s picture book in October titled Cara’s Kindness. The book, il- lustrated by John Lee, follows Dream Big Little Pig, released in 2011, and It’s a Big World Little Pig, released in 2012. Cara’s Kindness aims to in-
spire readers to pay kindness forward through Cara the Cat, who is struggling to choose the perfect song for her new ice skating routine. The book’s release celebrated the 20th anniversary of Yama-
guchi’s Always Dream Foundation, which inspires underserved children to “dream big” through engaging families with community events and serving as an advocate, highlighting the importance of early childhood literacy. A portion of the profits from Cara’s Kindness will benefit the foundation.
