White, Hamilton headline commentary team on CBS Sports coverage of Team Challenge Cup

U.S. Figure Skating announced in No-

vember that Tanith White (play-by-play) and Scott Hamilton (color) will headline the CBS Sports broadcast team in Spokane, Washing- ton, during coverage of the inaugural Team Challenge Cup, set to air on CBS 1–3 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 24. The entire event will be streamed live on icenetwork. “Figure skating team competitions are

especially exciting for skating fans because they combine the thrill of individual com- petition with the drama of skaters working together as a team for a common goal, and Spokane is the perfect host city, having held

two previous U.S. Championships in 2010 and 2007,” Hamilton said. “And personally, to once again sit in the commentator chair for CBS after being with them for 20 years, will make the 2016 Team Challenge very special for me.” “I have so much respect for what Scott

Hamilton has done on and off the ice for the sport of fi gure skating, and I am honored to work alongside him as part of the Team Chal- lenge Cup broadcast team,” White said. “I’m also excited to return to Spokane, a city that has been the site of many great memories for me, and I know the people of Spokane will embrace this new event with the same pas- sion they have given to fi gure skating events in the past.”
