Mark W. Russell (BA ’86) received a PhD in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation from the University of Kentucky in 2014. His dissertation is titled “Beyond Blue and White: University of Kentucky Presidents and Desegregation, 1941–1987.”


Lou Canellis (BA ’87) celebrated the opening of his new bar and restau- rant, Reverie, in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. (See story, page 28.)


Maureen Fearon (MD ’87) is an internist in the Division of Primary Care and a clinical associate profes- sor of medicine at the Stritch School of Medicine. She performed her Internal Medicine residency at Loyola Health System from 1987 to 1990 and completed her fellowship at LUHS in 1991.


Dr. Anthony Janiga (BS ’82, MD ’87) has owned a private practice in Naperville, Illinois, since 1997. He practices general dermatology with a special interest and focus on skin cancer treatment and prevention, as well as laser use in dermatology.


Eileen M. Bower (BA ’87, JD ’88) was named the new head of Trout- man, Sanders LLP. The firm repre- sents clients in civil and commercial law matters, such as corporate, energy and industry regulation, finance, litigation, and real estate.

Sandra M. Rosenbloom (JD ’92) was selected a Super Lawyer for 2015.


Robert Muriel (JD ’93) was ap- pointed by Governor Bruce Rauner as a commissioner to the Illinois Racing Board.


Thomas A. LaBuda (JD ’94) was promoted to partner at Sidley, Austin LLP’s corporate reorganization and bankruptcy group.
