Newscast T e Grede Holdings LLC facility


in St. Cloud, Minnesota, has earned Finance and Commerce’s Progress Min- nesota 2016 Award as one of the com- panies, organizations and individuals driving business growth and economic development in Minnesota. Grede St. Cloud was one of 24 companies or organizations and four individuals selected to receive the award. “We are


thrilled to be among the elite selected for the Progress Minnesota Award,” said Todd Heavin, chief operating offi - cer, Grede. “Grede has always believed in supporting where we live and work, and this award validates the eff orts and attitude of all our employees.” In 2015, Grede invested more than $20 million in the St. Cloud facility, adding capac- ity for future growth. ■

lotte, North Carolina, announced it is sponsoring professional golfer Bren- don de Jonge. de Jonge, originally from Zimbabwe, lives in Charlotte. As of mid-February, de Jonge was ranked 168th in the world, and his best fi nish in a major tournament was a tie for 26th place in the 2011 PGA Championship. ■

Wisconsin, has been named the 2015 “Small Business of the Year” by the St. Croix (Wisconsin) County Economic Development Corp. St. Croix Cast- ings sells aluminum castings in both sand and permanent molds.T e facility serves clients in commercial lighting, fi re suppression equipment, agricul- tural equipment, and also industrial vehicles, tools and equipment. ■


Restoration of the W.A. Young


and Sons Foundry and Machine Shop, Rices Landing, Pennsylvania, has begun. According to local re- ports, all windows and doors will be restored, damaged wood siding will be replaced and the foundation will undergo repairs. The shop was built by William A. Young in 1900 and in 1908 expanded to include a casting facility. ■


Marquette Business Credit, a subsidiary of UMB Financial Corporation, Kansas City, Missouri, funded a $10 million credit facility for Consolidated Casting Corp. (CCC), Hutchins, Texas. CCC manufactures investment castings. ■

Berlin, Wisconsin, has built a two- station carousel spinner for Caterpillar. It is for the relocation of Caterpillar’s seal ring facility. ■
