EDITOR’SLETTER VOLUME 77, NUMBER 5
Dear Members, At the 2015 Mid-Year Conference in Anaheim,
California, the National District Council Members voted to approve the funds necessary to build our very own custom membership software. We have been working on it ever since. If you came to National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, you may have come to an informational meeting about where we are with the system. It’s named M.A.L.T.A., Membership Auxiliary Leadership Technology Access. As I write this, the National +HDGTXDUWHUV VWDII DUH GRLQJ WKH ÀUVW URXQGV RI testing. This is an exciting step for us. They are not only making sure the basic stuff works, but they are making sure it’s user-friendly, too. We will talk more about M.A.L.T.A. in each

issue leading up to its release in July 2017. We want you all to be ready for it and excited to use it, just like us. To the left is the logo made just for M.A.L.T.A. We want you to get used to seeing it and hearing about it. Everything about the system should make your job and our job easier. Probably the best part about the system is that since the Auxiliary is the owner of the code that makes up the system, we can change whatever we don’t like...easier, faster and cheaper than with an outside system we might use. In the meantime, enjoy this issue of the magazine. See what fellow members are up to, get ideas for your own projects and be inspired to continue the mission of the organization. We are ALWAYS looking for good story ideas,
TYK
