HQMEMO DUES REMINDER
Please note, if you have not paid your Auxiliary dues: • An annual continuous member MUST have his or her 2017 dues received at VFW Auxiliary National Headquarters by June 30, 2017 in order to maintain his or her
continuous years of membership within the organization. There is no longer a “reinstate” category for membership.
• If an annual continuous member’s 2017 dues are not received at National Headquarters
by June 30, 2017, his or her continuous membership will end. He or she will then have to: Q
REJOIN the organization Q PROVE his or her eligibility again
Q Be READMITTED by voting members into the local Auxiliary AND Q START continuous years over.
• Again, if an annual continuous member misses even a single year of paying dues on time, his or her continuous years of membership start over at one.
• This change will also affect an annual continuous member’s eligibility for a Cancer Grant. If he or she does not maintain his or her continuous membership, he or she will
have to wait one full year before he or she is eligible for another grant. There remains a limit of two grants per lifetime.
LET’S TALK
All of us joined the VFW Auxiliary under the eligibility of a veteran who served in overseas combat. We want to hear their story! We’re accepting submissions for the “My Veteran” feature that appears in each issue of VFW Auxiliary Magazine. Email
info@vfwauxiliary.org and tell us about your veteran! The VFW Auxiliary comprises nearly 470,000 members. Do you know of an outstanding
member? Someone who always goes the extra mile for our veterans and our organization? Nominate them for the “Member Spotlight” feature that appears in each issue of VFW Auxiliary Magazine. Email
info@vfwauxiliary.org and tell us about an extraordinary member you know!
