MTC ups its warranty
New sales manager for YYS
MTC Optics is enforcing its
reputation for extreme quality by extending its already comprehensive five-year guarantee to a lifetime warranty on all its current and future scopes, newly registered from 2022. Backing up its aim of building scopes that provide a lifetime of optical performance, the new warranty offer goes further than simply guaranteeing against defects in workmanship or materials. If a repair is not feasible, the company has also pledged it will replace the scope, free. To benefit from the new warranty extension, all customers need do is complete a simple online registration of their new scope on MTC’s website (
mtcoptics.com), where key facts of the warranty are also detailed.

YS International has appointed a new sales manager for the
North. With immediate effect, Darren Hartson joins the company, and will be responsible for the territory stretching from Barrow-in-Furness to Middlesbrough in the north, down to Aberystwyth to Kings Lynn in the South. YYS boss Rachael Bradwick said:
“Darren joins us with a lifetime of angling experience and over 30 years of experience in the tackle trade. “From working in small tackle shops to being a buyer for a chain of stores, Darren has done it all. When it comes to understanding the needs of our customers, Darren is a perfect fit.” Darren told T&G: “I am looking
forward to starting a new chapter in my career. My previous experiences will help build successful relationships between YYS and their customers, new and old.
“I know what retailers need and expect from their suppliers, my challenge is to get over the message of quality products and sustainable margins, and how YYS can be the answer. The development of the YYS brands – particular the Carp On brand, is very exciting.”

Normark appoints senior sales manager
Greg Millward has joined the Normark group as senior sales manager for Dynamite Baits and all Normark associated brands.
The significant appointment shows
the growing commitment to the market and is seen as pivotal to the development of the company. Greg is new to the fishing industry, but as well as a passion for fishing and fresh ideas he brings with him over 15years sales experience gained from large blue chip retailers and independent small businesses. Greg also studied at Sparsholt College - BSc(hons) Aquaculture & Fishery Management and has experience of salmon, trout and coarse fish farms in the UK and working on koi farms in Florida.
