National Fishing Month gets new dates

Premier Floats catalogue now available as firm gears up for the new season

N

ational Fishing Month will run from 1st – 31st August this year –

concurrently with Take A Friend Fishing. Learn how to fish, reignite your passion, or try something new in angling at hundreds of fun, safe and friendly events nationwide this summer. A NFM spokesman said: “Everyone is invited – with a calendar that features family-friendly, women’s and wheelchair-accessible events – all ages, abilities and experience levels are welcome! “We want our wonderful waterways to feel an open and inviting place for everybody and raise awareness that fishing is about so much more than catching a fish!” Last year, the Environment Agency sold 1,090,068 individual freshwater fishing licences to adults living in England, compared to 1,019,723 in the previous year 2019/20. T

he new 2022 Premier Floats catalogue is now available and is packed full of product to keep those tills ringing. Timed to coincide with the start of the traditional fishing season and the arrival of the warmer weather, the catalogue is packed full of every conceivable type of float that any angler could need. T&G spoke to company boss Mick Sladden (pictured), who told us: “Over the winter months we’ve been able to build up our stock levels ready for the coming season.

“As all of our floats are made here in Britain, we’re well placed to be able to upscale our production with ease. We’ve not been hit by the production problems from the Far East which allows us the luxury of being able to supply orders to British dealers quickly

and efficiently, while also offering them an exceptionally good return.” In fact premier Floats offers a very

good return – a true double-up. Mick continued: “Through

innovation and meticulous attention to detail we are able to produce a range of British-made floats to cover most aspects of angling, from specimen carp and pike hunting to lake and river fishing, from expert to novice.” And with no minimum order, and 48-hour delivery, the company is a dream to deal with too.
