As the game season draws closer to its end, business has slowed slightly but there seems little to worry about just
yet.Three-quarters of gun shops are still buoyant (down slightly from 82 per cent last month) with 69 per cent seeing better footfall (83 per cent). Year-on-year profit is strong for just over half of all
retailers (53 per cent),which is down 11 per cent on last time.)

Mail-order and online sales have slumped, however.
Just 39 per cent said mail-order sales were positive (92 per cent last month) and 45 per cent of internet traders reported similar results (compared with 75 per cent). It’s been positive news for mail-order and internet

sectors were hopeful of even more orders next month (98 per cent). Things aren’t expected to slow down much; just
over three-quarters (77 per cent),were positive,which is down slightly from the 81 per cent last month.
