BASC appoints director of operations
Te British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) has appointed former gamekeeper Steve Bloomfield as its director of operations. Steve,who worked as a
’keeper on the Bretby Park Estate inDerbyshire, has spent almost nine years at BASC and has been England director for the last three years. Alongsidemore than 30
years’ experience in field sports, gamemanagement and conservation,Steve is also a keen deerstalker, game shot and picker-up on local shoots. He said: “I feel extremely
privileged to be part of the seniormanagement teamand I’msure thatmy extensive background in game and deer management and lifelong experience of shooting and conservation will help shape and direct future policy on behalf of ourmembers.” BASC vice-chairman John
TornleyOBE, added: “I am confident Steve’s appointment to this important position will be welcomed both within the association and the widermembership.His empathy and commitment to shooting sports has been recognised together with his unquestionablemanagement skills.”

Organisers ofTeGame Fair 2017 are offeringmembers of the BritishAssociation for Shooting andConservation (BASC) complimentary entry to the event atHatfieldHouse in Hertfordshire. Over three days between Friday
