Heavy-duty GreenMech machine

GreenMech’s line-up included the Arborist 200 wood chipper, which has a 200mm throughput capacity for a high work rate and comes as standard with a Kubota 45hp diesel engine. It has twin, horizontal hydraulically powered feed-rollers and the in-feed hopper measures 1200mm by 840mm to facilitate the flow of bulky material. An electronically controlled system is incorporated to automatically manage the throughput of material for optimal efficiency. The company says that the cutting blades can be rotated to extend the interval between re-sharpening to up to 150 hours.

EHN bumped into several of the team from Chichester-based Beaver Tool Hire inspecting Camon grounds care equipment on the Tracmaster stand. “We have a lot of the company’s products in our hire fleet, including rotavators, turf cutters, flail mowers and stump grinders,” said Operations Director Tony Criddle, pictured (left) with Beaver MD Neil Johnson (right) and Chichester depot manager, John Baggott. “In all, nine of us drove up to Saltex in a hired minibus, including the

managers of all five of our depots. We are now busy planning the transport and accommodation arrangements for our visit to the Executive Hire Show in February.”
