Mecklock’s key to security

The Mecklock, from MF Hydraulics, is designed to deter theft by hydraulic immobilisation. With over 100,000,000 possible code combinations, the item of plant on which it is fitted remains locked until the Mecklock key is turned.

MF Hydraulics has also

introduced a range of trackers to work either alongside the Mecklock or as standalone units. These can also provide information

regarding equipment usage and other technical data.

Trackunit’s integrated approach

Trackunit’s Dual ID access control system is designed to allow hirers and end users to control who, when and where equipment can be operated. It can also be integrated with IPAF’s PAL Smartcards and construction industry CSCS cards so that access can be barred when licences expire or a contract finishes. The system also tracks the location of machinery and also offers immobilisation protection for theft prevention.

Securi-Cabin’s Pick of the range

Securi-Cabin has just launched the innovative Smart Pick welfare unit, which can accommodate up to

12 people. It utilises a specially developed trailer system that is designed to facilitate delivery with a 4x4 vehicle to any site for fast, cost-effective delivery and collection. A remote control device, together with automatic steering on the trailer, is incorporated to enable users to position and unload the unit without the need for a Hi-ab crane. The Smart Pick has a galvanised steel structure, includes a canteen area for ten people and office space for two with a separate external door. A toilet and drying room are also provided. The unit has been configured for good balance when towing, and can be extended concertina-like on site to offer its maximum capacity.

AMI’s discreet system

The new RT Hubb from the AMI Group acts as a small tracking device fitted to a host item of plant. It can then communicate via Bluetooth to various other peripheral devices on the machine, monitoring parameters such as temperature and hours of operation. The devices report directly into the manufacturer’s Nexis asset tracking platforms, which can also be displayed on Android and Apple apps. The circuit board has been designed to be as small and discreet as possible to facilitate installation and to avoid detection.
