Latest products Genquip’s Groundhogs grow


Genquip gave the first public viewing of its Solar Office at the Showman’s Show, a deluxe static unit that derives most of its power from high-efficiency solar panels on the roof. The on-board generator is only needed for high-draw appliances like kettles. The unit has a suspended ceiling, double glazing, three-pin and USB sockets. MD Dennis Hughes, pictured, says it is targeted at niche markets such as for use at events or luxury housing developments. CanTrack for the People


As mentioned in the introduction to this Market Report, CanTrack has built on its asset tracking system with an integrated product called People, which functions via a device of similar size to a car key fob to monitor remote service teams, delivery


drivers and other potentially vulnerable personnel. Charged via a USB dock and with a claimed battery standby time of up to a week, it contains a SIM card for emergency texts and voice


communication with up to three pre-set phone numbers. It gives regular location updates and can automatically issue an alert if the user should be incapacitated through illness or attack.

The latest mobile welfare units from AJC Trailers are two environmentally-friendly models. The standard ECOsmart has LED lights fitted with passive infrared sensors to enable them to remain on throughout the working day without having to run the on-board generator. A Smart Box control panel is also incorporated which is designed to maintain a hot water supply for up to four hours, again without the generator being required. The second model available is the ECOsmartair, which has the additional inclusion of an energy-efficient diesel heating system.
