Peak Gold Rhapsody was the fi rst of the sisters to be shown and stood second at the Dairy Event 2011. She has continued to be the bridesmaid standing second and honourable mention senior champion UK Dairy Expo 2012, fi rst and honourable senior champion UK Dairy Expo 2013, second mature cow UK Dairy Day 2014 and third senior cow AgriScot 2014. She has been successfully fl ushed to Colt 45. She was to be outdone by Peak Goldwyn Rhapsody, affectionately known by the team as ‘The Tank’, when she took to the ring as a third calver in 2012 she stood reserve Holstein champion at Staffordshire County Show. fourth calver having calved 10 months, she has gone on to give 15,620kg at 4.34%bf and 3.27%p.


She was described by UK Dairy Expo judge Mark Rueth as “a very balanced cow for being a mature cow, she has a gorgeous spring of rib with a lovely frame. She walks well and had the best udder in the show, she had the advantage of being more developed in the frame and udder than the intermediate cow. She had the height, width and bloom in the mammary system.”

fi fth calf in June. At the time AgriScot judge Edward Griffi ths commented: “She was a run away winner today, this mature Holstein is everything the commercial dairy farmer is looking for. She is a medium sized, high yielding cow with a phenomenal udder and great feet and legs - she would suit any system.”


Her VG89 classifi ed three year old Dusk daughter Milliedale Dusk Rhapsody has been an exciting present for Millie, she stood top of the junior three year olds and was intermediate honourable mention at UK Dairy Day and fi rst at Agri-Scot 2014. Two of the full sisters calved bull calves in 2014, while Peak Golden Rhapsody EX92 calved a Chipper P heifer calf in November 2013 before being sold at the Sterndale Sale 2014 to Brendan Greenan and has since calved a Mardi Gras heifer.

Yasmin, “An old family that has kept going, our Goldwyn’s are the thirteenth generation of EX cows which is no mean feat.”


Continuing the success of this family all three of these successfully shown cows have been nominated for the All Britain Awards 2014. This is the second nomination for Goldwyn Rhapsody who was nominated Mature Cow
