ocated in the small town of Zator, in the south of Poland, this park founded by energy drink and nightclub (both marketed

under the Energy 2000 brand) entrepreneur Marek Goczal, debuted in July 2014 with over 20 rides and attractions including three rollercoasters. A further three opened last year, one more this summer, and yet another three look likely to open in 2017, along with many other new attractions. New for 2016 is Rollercoaster Formula 1, a 550m-long

launch coaster from Vekoma Rides Manufacturing, which also supplied all last year's new coasters. The ride reaches a maximum speed of 78kmh as it propels each of two 16- seater trains through a series of elements including an Immelmann loop, left-hand carousel turn, airtime camelback, blitz roll, right-hand carousel turn, high-sider airtime hill, flat spin, horseshoe, twisted airtime hill and bunny hop. The ride's maximum height is almost 25 metres. Big things are coming in 2017 and beyond. One of the highlights next year will be Speed Water Coaster, an Intamin Hyper Splash. A dragon coaster and family boomerang coaster are also planned, manufacturers to be confirmed. In fact nearly 20 new attractions will open next year, large and small, together providing an added passenger capacity of 10,000. In 2018, a hyper coaster is planned as Energylandia moves towards its goal of becoming one of the top five parks in Europe, expanding from its current 26 to 112 acres. So far a lot of the decoration in the park has been comprised of bright and colourful fibreglass features (produced by a company affiliated to Energylandia), but next year will herald a fresh era of theming when new Swiss and Viking areas (the latter home to Speed Water Coaster) arrive. Someone's clearly been consuming a lot of energy drink.
