Megastore, mega comfort O

rate of 480,000m3 . The rooftop models selected vary

depending on the capacity required: there are four units with 360kW cooling capacity each and four units with 393kW cooling capacity each. With this overall cooling capacity we can guarantee the thermal loads specified in the project.

Choosing Clivet

n December 1st 2016 the Chinese megastore opened in Agrate Brianza, near Milan comprising 56 000m2

on three levels, 400

Benvenuto SpA said: "As a retail space, the structure has a rather spartan but very good finish. The shops are peripherally enclosed spaces, open at the top (so-called boxes) with dividing walls that reach 2m high. Air treatment is carried out for the whole megastore, through channels which, thanks to a micro-drilling system, generate a high inductive effect between the inlet air and the indoor one. We chose this type of channel because, the shops being sectioned on three vertical levels, it was important that the air was always moving in order to ensure adequate heating and cooling. The channels have a total treated air flow

We chose Clivet because of its quality/price ratio. The type of plant required for such a building had to be simple, flexible and adaptable to the structural requirements. The rooftop units we chose allow the simple and precise control required for the overall treatment of indoor air.

Stand-alone air conditioning

The Chinese megastore in Agrate Brianza is served by eight independent direct expansion high efficiency air conditioning rooftop systems designed for a medium attendance level environment (CLIVETPack² CSRN-XHE2). These units are developed by Clivet for air

treatment and are characterised by their high efficiency, achieved thanks to: • A double refrigeration circuit with modular scroll

Further distinctive features are:

• Easy positioning and installation: the units are compact, suitable for crowded roofs and they allow for the air supply and return to be horizontal or from below. • Quick installation: the units can be put to use immediately thanks to the packaged approach, which includes everything necessary for the system, only requiring connection to the electrical supply and air ducting network. • Low noise: the units are equipped with high- efficiency diffusers for axial fans (AxiTop type), which guarantee a minimal noise level, reducing by 3 dB(A) the noise emissions from a standard fan.

compressors for the continuous capacity adjustment relative to the duty requested. • A device for consumption reduction by the variable speed (phase-cut) fans of the outdoor section • Automatic air renewal and free-cooling function management • Rejection section with innovative thermodynamic energy recovery of the exhaust air through a dedicated THOR (THermodynamic Overboost Recovery) exchanger. The energy recovered from the exhaust air is transferred to the air treated through the cooling circuit, improving the overall efficiency of the units.
