CHILLVENTA PREVIEW A-Gas– Stand 7-340

Lifecycle Refrigerant Management (LRM): Enabling Circularity Within the Industry -Gas is a

management of refrigerants as the industry looks to reduce its carbon emissions and move away from high global warming potential (GWP) gases. For over 30 years, A-Gas has supported clients and partners on their environmental journey as an enabler of Lifecycle Refrigerant Management (LRM) and circularity in the industry, with world-class processes for the safe recovery, reclamation and destruction of used refrigerants.

A

The guiding principle in our LRM strategy is simple: “No kilogram or pound of refrigerant, once produced, is released into the atmo- sphere”. This circular approach is the opposite of the ‘take, make and dispose’ model that has dom- inated the refrigerant industry for decades. By recovering used refrigerant gases and reclaim- ing them to AHRI 700 standards, A-Gas makes better use of existing resources and reduces the need for virgin production. Re-supplying these products to the market helps the wider Heating, Ventilation, Air Condi- tioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) industries embrace circular economy principles. Where no future reuse is possible, A-Gas uses United Nations-approved destruction technology to eliminate the gases in a safe and environmental- ly responsible way. This has resulted in strong progress in minimising the eff ect these refrigerants may have on the environment. In 2023, we abated an estimated 8.9 million metric tonnes of CO2
