The IOR RACHP EngTech Section is celebrating its 24th anniversary this year. It brings together good practice experience and expertise for engineers and technicians involved in service, maintenance, installation, or commissioning, The Section is made up of individuals or companies that enrol their entire team of fi eld engineers. Each quarter, they receive mailings, including news and three technical bulletins written by technicians for technicians, focusing on relevant work areas. Subscribers have access to over 200 of bulletins addressing topical issues like the one detailed above. These bulletins provide valuable insights and solutions, helping engineers and technicians stay updated and informed on the latest industry challenges and advancements. provides for fi eld engineers. The Institute also hosts a series of Cool Talks, free webinars led by industry experts. These sessions off er delegates opportunities to ask questions and receive feedback from specialists on this topic as an educational resource covering the fundamentals of good practice. ■ Heat Pump Design and Installation, December 2024 ■The Future of Refrigerants, February 2025 In addition to Cool Talks, the IOR unveiled its Masterclass series at the beginning of 2024 which are aimed at supporting colleges and employers who take on trainees or apprentices but can also be used as refresher classes for experienced engineers and technicians. From September 2024, the IOR will off er the following masterclasses: ■ Press Fittings for RACHP Installations, 5 September 2024 ■Refrigerant Glide and P-H Charts, 24 October 2024 ■ Air-Cooled Condensers - Principles of Operation, 14 No- vember 2024
