COMPANY PROFILE
it the industry standard to this day and it remains a flagship product for SPX Cooling.
Present
Modern-day specifiers and contractors want product innovations that can give them a greater amount of cooling for the energy used. They also seek ways to reduce installation time and maintenance for greater sustainability while lowering costs overall. These customer needs can be seen in almost every industry, from light industrial to ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) applications, power generation to process cooling operations. SPX Cooling Tech strives to provide
exceptional quality equipment and service to the HVAC, process cooling, industrial, and refrigeration markets. The company offers a variety of products, but Marley evaporative cooling towers are the backbone of the company’s innovations and a driving force in the HVAC, light industrial and heavy industrial markets today. As SPX Cooling celebrates 100 years of the
Marley brand, the company that designs, engineers and manufactures the products is making sure that future generations of SPX customers, employees, representatives and
suppliers are as proud of the company 100 years from now as they are today. The company has made many moves to do
so, through continued product development, such as the new proprietary Aero-X coil technology in its induced-draft, closed-circuit DT fluid coolers, and through strategic acquisitions and partnerships, such as the acquisition of Cincinnati Fan, a leader in engineered air quality solutions, including blowers and critical exhaust systems. More than anything, SPX Cooling continues to invest in its own people – those who brought the comapny to where it is today. The business strongly believes that its people are vital to its success, and focuses on developing talent across the company. SPX is proud that many of its senior staff members and company leaders, not just the research and development and engineering teams, started their working life at SPX through engineering coop programs and internships.
Future SPX Cooling will remain focused on its three guiding principles: Q built for quality Q powered by innovation Q committed to sustainability.
The business will continue to put an emphasis on its employees by fostering a community of innovators and helping to promote diversity and inclusion throughout its network. In addition, over the next five years, the
SPX team plans to continue the path it has set by building on the 100-year history of Marley through continued innovations in cooling technology, while helping to reduce the world’s carbon footprint by incorporating recyclable materials into products and reduce waste created in manufacturing SPX Cooling is helping to align industry standards with sustainability certification programs, promoting the benefits of using water-cooled versus air-cooled cooling systems, designing and manufacturing cooling tower controls and components that can assist operators to achieve additional energy savings and focusing on how the size of a cooling tower affects energy savings for our customers.
Companies within the industry as well as outside of it, should strive to help create a world where long-term targets on carbon emissions are realised.
