Hanwell Solutions
A comprehensive software platform that provides safeguards against compromised environmental conditions to avoid spoilage for multiple sectors has been upgraded by Hanwell Solutions to further improve performance for customers.
Version 1.0.10 of Hanwell’s EMS software now includes auto- scaled overlay of all sensors in zone on charts. EMS is designed to interface with Hanwell Pro and Hanwell IceSpy environmental monitoring solutions. The EMS platform provides peace of mind for companies seeking environmental monitoring solutions by improving speed of preventative action with immediate email and SMS alarms if pre- set parameters are breached. It offers enhanced control of data and events from anywhere in the world via cloud- or server-based configuration. Further improvements to the software range from animated alarm display for quick identification of type of alarm per sensor to a RH/T band frequency analysis chart with user set band sizes, a Conset sensor control state column for live viewing, an Analyse Dew Point and Absolute Humidity on RH/T graphs, plus an EMS Mobile APP installer as well as support for RL4000 Thermocouple sensors.

Carrier
Carrier has selected R-32 refrigerant to replace R-410A refrigerant in commercial chillers using scroll technology. R-32 was chosen for its lower environmental impact, high energy efficiency, wide availability and ease of use. In Europe, the refrigerant will be offered in some scroll chillers beginning in the first half of 2020. Introductions will follow in other regions and all will meet UN Montreal Protocol Kigali Amendment regulations taking effect in 2023. Carrier’s use of R-32 refrigerant and expert system design will reduce the refrigerant carbon footprint by 80% in commercial scroll chillers and heat pumps. This is due to the much lower GWP and a significant system refrigerant charge reduction compared to the previous generation using R-410A.

Munters Clivet
Clivet offers a complete range of direct expansion solutions with units equipped with inverter technology and ecological refrigerant gas R32, whith an efficiency class of A+++ in heating and cooling. The operating range is extended in heating down to -30°C outside air
temperature and in cooling up to +50°C. The units are equipped with an integrated Wi-Fi kit for remote management through NetHome Plus App. The Intelligent-Eye sensor detects the presence of people and, according to this parameter, activates, pauses or deactivates the unit operation. It is also possible to decide whether the air flow must follow or avoid people.
In combination with direct expansion solutions, Clivet recommends AQUA. It is the packaged air-water heat pump dedicated to the production of domestic hot water, available in two models of 190 and 300 liters both with the possibility of having a coil for integration with another energy source. The range includes: SingleSplit systems; MULTISplit systems; and Systems for light commerce.

Operators of roof top condensers are familiar with the stress caused by the summer period, with peak temperatures pushing the condensers to their limit. Munters EC Cool efficiently decreases the inlet temperature of the rooftop condenser, increasing cooling capacity and preventing unplanned breakdowns caused by high pressure alarms.
Air-cooled refrigeration units are the typical form of heat rejection
system installed to provide air-conditioning and refrigeration. Obtaining adequate cooling function always has to be balanced against the higher capital investment and physical installation space of an over-dimensioned system. Moreover the running costs, comprising both life cycle system maintenance costs and energy consumption, are critical factors. Refrigeration plants account for around 10% of the global electricity consumption and is rising. It is therefore no surprise that cost-consciousness and energy conservation play increasingly important roles in new condenser system design and prolongation of the life cycles for existing installations. To support energy efficiency and product life expectancy on these already installed condensers, Munters has developed the EC Cool solution for retrofit installation. Munters EC Cool increases the cooling efficiency of a condenser system, while lowering energy consumption. It fits onto conventional single and double stage condensers and rooftop units, and can be supplied in any length up to approx. 40m of width and 2m in height. EC Cool pre-cools the air entering the condenser system, which improves condenser cooling performance, resulting in lower energy consumption.
