CELLAR COOLING SPOTLIGHT

Doncaster Rovers fans enjoy cold beer on-tap thanks to J&E Hall

The J & E Hall CellarPlus cooling system has been chosen by refrigeration and air conditioning contractor, PAR Services, to ensure cold beer on-tap for the thousands of visitors at Doncaster Rovers Football Club.

T

Yorkshire-based PAR Services was contracted to upgrade the old unit at the Eco Power Stadium in Doncaster, which had failed. The failure meant the football club had to discard a signifi cant amount of beer which was rendered unfi t for sale, causing a fi nancial impact for the club. J & E Hall’s CellarPlus cooling system provided a cost-

eff ective and reliable replacement. The system was fi tted on the wall of the cellar to optimise fl oor space whilst ensuring maximum storage capacity for beer and drinks. Michael Abbey, company director at PAR Services, said:

“We chose J & E Hall’s cellar cooling system for this project because of its energy effi ciency and even air distribution, hugely improving the cooling output compared with the old and ineffi cient system.”

three-phase outdoor condensing unit, to enhance energy effi ciency. The system operates using low GWP refrigerants R448A or R449A, keeping the club’s beverage off ering fresh and at the optimum temperature of 4°C for sale. Paul O’Brien, regional sales manager at J & E Hall, said:

“We’re delighted that our cooling system has been installed at the stadium. We’re confi dent that it is the right product for the job, with its proven energy effi ciency credentials.” ”Old cellar cooling systems can get more expensive to run as time goes on. With energy costs continuing to rise, the new J & E Hall cooling system should have a signifi cant impact on the club’s long-term cooling costs.”
