LUBRICANTS & COOLANTS FEATURE 100% FOOD-DERIVED BEARING GREASE

NSK has developed a grease lubricant that is 100% derived from food grade ingredients for plants where machinery, production equipment or devices come into contact with foods, pharmaceuticals or cosmetics. Furthermore, the H3G grease is ideal for any application that is suited to the lubricant´s additional strengths of water resistance and low torque. Initially, H3G has been installed into NSK´s Silver-Lube series, corrosion resistant bearing units designed for use in industries where frequent and thorough washdowns are necessary, optimum hygiene standards are required and good chemical resistance is important over a wide temperature range. Typical applications range from food

machinery through to pharmaceutical, cosmetics and medical process devices including pumps. The environmentally friendly grease conforms to the highest standards for safety regarding products that may come into accidental contact with food. Petroleum-free, HsG exceeds the standards of lubricants used widely in such applications. These are generally based on rapeseed and other vegetable oils that contain non-food ingredients which can have performance limitations with lower oxidative stability resulting in lubricity and durability issues.

NON-FLAMMABLE RELEASE AEROSOL

Initially, this grease has been installed into NSK´s Silver-Lube series, corrosion resistant bearing units

Food-grade vegetable oil is used for its excellent heat tolerance as a base while the thickening agent contains food additives with a fine 3D network for good base oil retention. The lubricant is formulated with food additives that further enhance the durability of the base oil, delivering enhanced oxidative stability and one-third lower friction loss (torque) than comparable products. Further advantages are less leakage and longer service life even where there is exposure to water. Naturally biodegradable, it produces no toxic waste, making it non- polluting and fully sustainable.

NCH Europe has launched a non- flammable release agent aerosol for use in manufacturing applications. K Release NF meets the demands of industrial sectors where the buildup of flammable solvents and fumes would pose a risk. K Release NF is designed for ease of application to the end user. It offers fast and powerful penetration to deliver effective results on fasteners even those that have become lodged in place due to dirt and corrosion. After application the lubricant seeps fully into crevices in 5-30 seconds. The aerosol canister has a spray-any-way valve so it can be sprayed at any angle including upside down. This enables maintenance engineers to reach fasteners in difficult locations without sacrificing spray effectiveness. The product’s excellent lubrication comes from its composition which is fortified with Moly. This reinforces temperature resistance and enhances lubricity, making it better suited to delivering high performance in applications operating under extreme temperatures. In softening rust accumulation due to condensation K Release NF reduces the need for more intensive removal equipment and makes the process easier and cheaper.
