c-Com – Efficient and innovative life- cycle management of C parts


Together with SAP and other global partners, MAPAL has developed a completely new solution based on the SAP Hana Cloud Platform for the efficient handling of tools and tool- related data. Why? The volume of data available on every tool, such as master data, process data and inventory data, is growing and its management offers enormous improvement potential.


On the c-Com platform, customers and suppliers can maintain and share all their relevant tool data on the basis of clearly defined rules and access rights. The data for the cooperation are therefore always up-to-date. They are placed onto the platform just once by the owner of the data, irrespective of the number of users. The right data is then available to all actors at all sites at any time. This gives companies an unprecedented transparency.


Applied technical solutions could be compared within the company, for example the tools and machining parameters for the same workpieces produced at different sites. Standardisations and benchmarking strategies are thus supported. Stocks and procurement strategies could be harmonised and optimised at significantly reduced costs. The interaction between purchasing and production and between purchasing and the suppliers is greatly simplified. Suppliers have the opportunity to provide more selective and new services.


In cooperation with SAP, MAPAL will present the beta-version of this platform at the AMB 2016 in Stuttgart.

werkzeugbezogenen Daten entwickelt. Denn: Die Menge an Daten, die zu jedem Werkzeug verfügbar sind, wie Stammdaten, Prozessdaten und Bestandsdaten, nimmt zu und deren Verwaltung bietet enormes Verbesserungspotenzial.


Auf der offenen Plattform c-Com können Kunden und Lieferanten, basierend auf klar definierten Regeln und Zugriffsrechten, all ihre relevanten Werkzeugdaten pflegen und teilen. Die Daten für die Zusammenarbeit sind so immer auf dem neuesten Stand. Sie werden auf der Plattform einmal vom Eigner der Daten gepflegt, unabhängig von der Anzahl der Benutzer. Die richtigen Daten sind so jederzeit und von allen Standorten für alle berechtigten Akteure verfügbar. Damit erreichen Unternehmen eine bis dahin unerreichte Transparenz.


Angewandte technische Lösungen können innerhalb des Unternehmens verglichen werden, beispielsweise

Werkzeuge und Bearbeitungsparameter für gleiche Werkstücke, die an unterschiedlichen Standorten gefertigt werden. So werden Standardisierungen und Benchmarking-Strategien unterstützt. Bestandsmengen sowie Beschaffungsstrategien können mit erheblichen Kostensenkungen harmonisiert und optimiert werden. Die Interaktion zwischen Einkauf und Produktion sowie zwischen Einkauf und Lieferant wird extrem vereinfacht. Lieferanten haben durch c-Com die Möglichkeit, gezieltere und neue Dienstleistungen zur Verfügung zu stellen.


Zur AMB präsentiert MAPAL in Kooperation mit SAP die Beta-Version der Plattform.
