Media


During 2014 the ISEH had a great deal of interest from a variety of media. Very encouragingly the ISEH is becoming a point of


contact for current media stories around Sport, exercise and health. Below are some of the highlights of 2014.


BBC 4 – Wonderful World of Blood


BBC Sport - London Marathon


The ISEH set the scene for a revealing BBC documentary looking at the extraordinary abilities of blood to adapt and keep us alive.


ISEH sport, exercise and medicine consultant and assistant medical director for the London Marathon, Dr Courtney Kipps was interviewed by Jonathan Edwards live on BBC Sport on the day of the London Marathon.


BBC News – The effects of exercise as your body gets older


BBC Health News - ISEH consultant calls for schools to promote low-level activity


Bruce Paton, head physiotherapist at the ISEH featured in a film on the BBC News website talking about whether we can influence the rate at which we age through exercise.


Schools should “redefine” physical activity, focussing on low-level effort rather than strenuous exercise, says ISEH consultant Dr Mike Loosemore.
