Optum Pipe Lining Supplies re-brand as RSM Australasia as brand continues to grow
across global markets OPTUM Pipe Lining Supplies, specialists in Trenchless solutions for pipe repair, was established in 2010 following the strong success of its parent company RSM in the UK, Ireland and Central Europe.
The idea behind Optum was to give the Australasian Market access to the technologies and methods available in Europe, from a base that could be accessed centrally within the Continent. The Optum model was based on that employed by RSM in the UK, focusing on offering high quality, proven products, and equipment, for use in the Sewer Renovation Industry, all being delivered by technically proven personnel, who focus on the customer’s needs and adapt to develop solutions for each individual project.
RSM Lining Supplies Global Ltd had been supplying material into the Australasian Market to a select few contractors since 2007. Following numerous visits by RSM Managing Director Richard Davis and his technical team, it became clear that the market could benefit from many of the technologies and processes, being utilised in the UK and Europe. This realisation coupled with the desire to better the service to our Australian client base through holding stock on the floor in Sydney and delivering technical support on the ground, led to the formation of Optum Pipe Lining Supplies in 2011.
Following 2 difficult years as the business adapted to the Australian market, refining both its product range, and service support to suit the needs of the developing market for Sewer Renovation through Cured In Place Pipe in Australasia, Optum acquired the services of now General Manager Stephen Fanning in 2012.
Stephen has brought a wealth of technical expertise to the business, has a strong desire for success and benefits from a huge amount of time served Drainage Industry experience now worldwide, this finally enabled Optum to become the supportive, innovative and strong supplier that was envisaged on the opening of the company back in 2011. Stephen has also assisted parent company RSM in product development and his wealth of ideas; experience and knowledge have become invaluable to the group operation.
RSM has supplied Optum Pipe Lining Supplies since the formation of the company in 2010, and the company is owned solely by the Directors of RSM. As the RSM brand continues to grow, the business is now market leader in the UK and has a strong client base across much of Europe, the decision has been taken to pool all resources and bring Optum Pipe Lining Supplies under the RSM banner with a view that this will give the customers of Optum, greater access to changing technologies, quicker access to innovation as RSM continues to develop an exciting range of new products, with its worldwide supply chain, and access to the technical support team of RSM who will when
