NEWS PayPal makes cardless cash move


QR-based system that allows users to withdraw contactless cash from ATMs. The scheme will roll-out to more than 70,000 ATMs across the US, with customers being able to order cash through a mobile wallet app and then generate a QR code to use at the ATM. The service is being launched in cooperation with FIS and the Payment Alliance International group (PAI).

“We’re thrilled to now be delivering this patented Cardless Cash approach to PAI’s existing network of 70,000 ATMs, without upgrading the ATM machine hardware,” writes PayPal in a blog post. “Eligible mobile banking users of participating banks will now be able to securely access their cash at these ATMs both on iOS and Android mobile devices at any time.”


The company has also launched its peer-to-peer payments service PayPal.Me in India to support small merchants,


ICICI Bank hails robotic tech
