FRUMKIN TO UPDATE RESERVE STUDY STANDARDS In keeping with CAI's naonal commitment to keep its standards up -to-date to reect the changes and growth of the industry, chapter president Mitch Frumkin, PE, RS, CGP from Kipcon, Inc., along with Robert Browning of California, have been tasked with heading up a task force made up of six experts from across the country to review and update CAI’s Naonal Reserve Study Standards.

It has been almost ten years since CAI rst introduced the standards followed by the Reserve Specialist (RS) designaon. The purpose was to establish naonally recognized professional standards for those who prepare Reserve Studies for community associaons. The inial commiee which developed these standards was chaired by Frumkin in 1998.

Reserves are a crical part of a community associaons budget and are generally one of the largest parts of these budgets. The result of this Task Force are ancipated to be released someme this year and will be forwarded to our membership upon their compleon.
