I n coffee shops, you can often find me with my nose in a

sketchbook. As others converse over their coffee or have their own noses in their laptops, they make great models for drawing. While drawing, I always try my best to be inconspicuous and of course, never bothersome. I love the variety of character in people’s faces and the authentic expressions they make when they don’t think anyone is watching. Most people never realize I’ve drawn them, but every now and then I look up from my sketchbook to have my gaze met by the subject. Sometimes they’ll come by to see what I’m up to on their next trip for a napkin and I’ll show them my drawings. They are always delighted to see the results.
