and with the floor to ceiling windows, everyone has a birds-eye view of the passing coastline. The fine dining restaurant, Hildring, offers a five-
course menu featuring fish – Flavours of the Sea, or meat - Flavours of the Land. Well worth doing a least once during the trip.
We enjoyed table service (no
queuing at a buffet) and were looked after throughout the whole ship by pleasant and accommodating staff. Alcohol as you would expect, in Norway, is expensive,
but it is possible to buy a drinks package which will help lower your drinks bill. With so much scenery to see from the many comfortable and spacious lounges as well as the daily programme of ‘expeditions’, time passes very quickly. Also, on board there are two gyms with top of the range strength and fitness training equipment. Both gyms have floor to ceiling windows making your daily work out much more interesting and enjoyable! On deck, there is a sauna and two jacuzzi for recovery
and relaxation, and a great way to watch the ever- changing landscape slip by. Little time is spent in your cabin but they all are
stylish, contemporary and well fitted out. They range from Interior to Seaview Deluxe to Junior Suite with balcony and two delightful Lighthouse Suites, each with their own separate living / dining / bedroom / dressing room and balcony complete with jacuzzi. Havila Voyages is the new way to cruise, and very
much the Norwegian way – having great respect for the environment. This voyage is a great way to experience the magnificent coastline, which must be one of the world’s most beautiful and gives a very personal and unique way to experience the Arctic. We had a great time and have many memorable
experiences – giving us enough to appreciate the largesse of Norway and the new eco-friendly way to cruise! We will be back for more!
