The base set comes with the main control unit and one sub
panel, and uses the sun to produce 5W of power an hour. This means Solar Paper can charge a smartphone in about 2.5 hours, which is comparable to using a wall adapter and electrical outlet. The control unit sports two USB ports and an LED display that tracks and displays volts received (when no device is connected), and amps generated when devices are plugged in and charging. The controller is smart and automatically calculates the current needed to most effi ciently charge any connected device. The modular design makes it easy to expand the system
